Andy Peck
FOUNDER AND CEO
Andy brings more than 25 years of experience in the retail store fixture and point of purchase display industries to LumaNEXT. As founder and CEO of APEC Display, he worked with major national account retailers including Bed, Bath & Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory, and The Finish Line. His knowledge and creative vision for brick and mortar has enabled LumaNEXT to engineer state-of-the-art technology to greatly enhance the customer journey and experience. He has Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Institute of Metrology and Instrumentation.
Dr. Peng Jin
VICE PRESIDENT
An internationally recognized expert in LED and semiconductor technology, Dr. Jin has served in an ownership or upper management capacity for several global technology companies, and is the Co-Founder of LED lighting solution provider Rave Optoelectronics. He is an Independent Director of Ledman, an LED display manufacturer listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. He served for two years as the Secretary General of Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association, and for two years as the Technical Director for Asia Pacific at CML Innovative Technologies. Dr. Jin gained additional U.S.-based industry experience while serving in senior engineering roles at Sensitron Semiconductor and Corning Incorporated. He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Physics from the University of Houston, and is a member of the faculty at Peking University.
Margaret Y. Wong
CFO
Dubbed the “Business Empress” by the Sacramento Bee, based on her success in linking multi-million dollar businesses between California and China. Ms Wong has for the past two decades served as Sacramento’s “unofficial ambassador” to China in her quest to promote a better business cultural understanding between the U.S. and China and to enhance economic opportunities between both countries she calls home. Her story exemplifies the American dream- immigrating to the U.S. to work with U.S. companies and eventually becoming one of the most successful U.S. – China entrepreneurs in California. Ms Wong founded McWong International, Inc. in 1984 and since that time has used her extensive network in China and experience in doing business with China to create one of the west coast’s most successful China trade companies. A Hong Kong native she came to the U.S. in 1974 and served as the Corporate Controller for Bostrom Management Corporation in Chicago for 10 years. She worked as a Vice President of American Savings and Loans before moving to Sacramento in 1984 to start her own business. She received her B.S. degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Yang Ye, PhD
CTO
Dr. Yang Ye is a global leader in power electronics holding more than 15 patents in electrical power circuits. He brings to LumaNext more than 10 years experience in aerospace electrical research & development. He is the former CTO of Mosco Power, the largest supplier of LED drivers in China and a special design lead specialist with the Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China. While at Honeywell, Dr. Ye worked on projects for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. He received his Bachelor and Master’s degree from Tsinghua University in China and his doctoral degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Alex Shamson
CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER
Alex brings over three decades of experience in product design and point of purchase display, and is responsible for all aspects of product development, from conceptual design to engineering and manufacturing. A native of Kiev, Ukraine, he immigrated to the US in 1976. He is the owner of Accord Display and Design, a design engineering and production firm in High Falls, New York. He studied Fine Arts and Industrial Design at Columbus College of Art and Design and University of the Arts, where he earned a B.S. in Industrial Design.
